We undertake detailed forensic investigations, encompassing ergonomic and safety assessments for both injury causation and prevention. These investigations incorporate assessments of engineering, human movement, cognitive and perceptual capabilities, and express opinions on injury causation, foreseeability & prevention. and compliance with all WH&S and OH&S regulations, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards. We also undertake detailed quality and safety inspections on all construction projects, providing assessments to Australian Standards. Quite regularly, a report of ours will assist in the early termination or settlement of potentially expensive legal action.
We have assisted both organisations and individuals by applying a Work Health & Safety approach, which incorporates human movement to activities such as the design of safe and efficient systems of work, the evaluation of current systems, both in job design, equipment and workstation design, and ensuring a safe means of access and egress throughout to Australian Standards, Building Codes of Australia and Codes of Practice.
In addition, we frequently work as expert witnesses, preparing objective scientifically valid reports that assist the legal profession (including both Plaintiff & Defendant firms) & the court in resolving claims for personal injury compensation & workers compensation.
Away from the courts, we are routinely engaged as a safety consultant by employers and occupiers seeking to manage their risks appropriately.
